On Nov. 18th, Co-Head Coaches Larry Walker and Darrell Walker had to put their season outlook and players to watch on the NWAACC website under the Trojans team page.  This is what they had to say about the 2009-2010 season.

“With six returning players and some very good new players, look for Everett to be a lot of fun to watch with it’s uptempo game.”

The two players they said to watch are: Dirk Snel and Matt Boyd.

Dirk is a 6’2″ Sophomore Guard from Cascade High School. Dirk is a tough player to guard as he can drive the lane but also shoot the 3 from way behind the arc.  He played his freshman season on the 2007-2008 team where he proved that he is a great shooter from anywhere on the court.

Matt is a 5’8″ Sophomore Guard from Ketchikan High School in Ketchikan, Alaska.  This is Matt’s third season with the Trojans, as he red-shirted his first year here then played on the team last season. Matt plays point guard for the team and can see the court very well, not to mention he can also shoot very well from behind the three point line.

We look for great things not just from these two players but from the whole team.  Come out and catch a game as the Trojans look to make an appearance at the NWAACC 2009-10 Championship Tournament in March 2010. Schedule is on the athletics webpage under the Men’s Basketball link.
