The 2008-09 Men’s & Women’s Basketball seasons have started.  Both teams are looking to make a return appearance at the NWAACC Championship Tournament in Kennewick, WA in March 2009, where at last year’s tournament they both took 8th place. 

The Men have 6 returning sophomores and 8 incoming freshman that look to be very competitive in the Northern Region.  With speed and some size this Trojan team has the potential to be number one in the North.  As of right now, they are 2-5 overall.

The Women’s Team has 3 returning sophomores and 9 incoming freshman. They have lots of potential to be a contender in the North. As of right now, they are 0-6 overall but look to turn that around as they start to gel together as a team.

For the rest of December, both teams have a number of non-league games including a crossover tournament for each team – Women @ Olympic College, Bremerton, WA; Men @ Highline CC, Des Moines, WA this upcoming weekend – Dec. 19th – 21st.  After the first of the year, they will both start league competition.  Same dates, same opponents, at the same location with the Women playing at 5:00pm followed by the Men at 7:00pm.  All Home games are $5.00 per person, children under 12 are free, EvCC Students with EvCC ID are free, and EvCC Staff & Faculty are free.  Check out their respective webpages for complete schedule and roster information.  You will also find directions to each school the Trojans play under the directions link.
