Jon Moe, a sophomore guard on the Men’s Basketball Team, has signed a letter of intent to attend school and play basketball at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks a Division II school in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference located in Fairbanks, AK.

J-Moe as he is known by on and off the court helped the 2007-08 Men’s team not only make it to the NWAACC Championship Tournament but helped them take 8th place.  His playing ability also helped the Trojans score an average of 100.3 points at home, along with being the leading scorer with 681 points and an average of 22.0 points a game.  Jon also had the best free-throe percentage this year with making 109 out of 130 for an f83.8 ree-throw percentage.  In the game against Skagit Valley College, J-Moe scored a career high of 53 points.

Jon graduated from Shorecrest High School in 2005 and attended Shoreline CC and Edmonds CC before transferring to EvCC to attend school and play basketball in the 2006-07 season. In the 2007-08 season, he was named to the Northern Region All-Star 2nd Team and participated in the 2007-08 NWAACC Sophomore All-Star Event in March.  In the North-East Game at that event, J-Moe scored 27 points of the 122 points that the North had. He was also the game leader in points and was tied for leader in assists with 7.

Best wishes go out to Jon on this new chapter.  He may now be a Nanook (Eskimo for Polar Bear) but he will always be a Trojan!
