The Women’s Basketball Team went into the Championship Tournament as the #1 seed from the Northern Region.  They played the #4 seed from the Eastern Region, the Walla Walla CC Warriors at 4pm today.  As games go, it was a tough battle all the way to the end with the Trojans losing to the Warriors by 2 points, 64-66.  Close games make the tournament exciting for all and unfortunately EvCC wasn’t on the winning end of it.  This loss takes them out of contention for the Championship Title this year.  However, they are not out of it.  They play tomorrow at 8am against Clackamas CC in a loser out game. 

The Men’s Basketball Team entered the Championship Tournament in the #4 seed spot which pitted them against the Sasquatch of the CC’s of Spokane the #1 seed of the Eastern Region and also the #1 ranked team in the final Coaches Poll.  Going into half time the Trojans were up by 3 points, however they were outscored by the Sasquatch in the second half 41-25, losing the game 63-76.  This loss takes them out of contention for the Title as well, but they are still in it! They play South Puget Sound CC at 10pm tomorrow in a loser out game.
