When the Trojans took the field on Monday night at Everett Memorial to compete Saturday’s second game, which was delayed due to rain, the began the game trailing 4-2 in the fourth inning.  Ryan Woods entered the game with a runner on third base and only one out but quickly got out of trouble. 

Skagit Valley College would extend their lead by adding two runs in the sixth inning and three more in the eighth inning. Trailing 8-4 heading into the eight the Trojans, who had struggled offensively the entire series, mounted a come back.  They scored three times in the eighth inning to make it a one run ball game.  Daniel Ulrich had an RBI double and Garrett Breda had a pinch-hit two run single. In the ninth inning, EvCC had two runners on with only one out but Cody Visser shut down the comeback to pick up his second save of the series.  Jeff Mugge and Donny Treat each homered in the game.  For Mugge it was his first collegiate home run. Treat led all Trojan hitters with three hits in the game.  Chris Larsen started the game on Saturday and was saddled with the loss.
