Things looked good for the Trojans in the first inning as they took one run from the Dolphins when Tyler Larson led off with a single then advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Nick Fleck, Larson would later score on a Pat Allen RBI single to give EvCC an early 1-0 lead.  Trojan starter Ryan Woods struggled in his third straight start.  After cruising through the first two innings, Woods ran into trouble in the third when the Dolphins scored four runs on only one hit and three Trojan errors.  EvCC would mount a comeback in the fourth inning where they scored two more times on an RBI double by Alex O’Brien and an RBI single by Fleck but that is all the Trojan offense would be able to mount and Shoreline expanded their lead in the sixth inning scoring three more times off of reliever Nick Collision. The loss was only the second one for the Trojans in league play this season.

Mason Tobin showed everybody in attendance why the Atlanta Braves have drafted him twice as he dominated the Shoreline hitters allowing only two first inning singles in a complete game shutout of the Dolphins.  He walked only one hitter and struck out seven hitters. Offensively, the Trojans bats came alive as EvCC scored two runs in the first, second, fourth and seventh innings.  The offensive highlights of the day included a 4-4 performance by Nick Fleck and Daniel Ulrich who hit his team leading third home run of the season in the fifth inning.  Two of Flecks four hits were doubles, he also drove home three runs and Jake Hammons drove home a pair. With the shutout, Tobin lowered his ERA to 0.84 and is now 5-0 on the season.
