Traveling to Olympic College in

Bremerton, WA the Trojans looked to take 2 non-league games from the Rangers, a team they will play in league.
Hitting second in the lineup, Tyler Larson jump started the Trojan offense with a triple in the first inning to set the table for Jake Hammons who doubled home Larson to take an early 1-0 lead.  EvCC would score two more runs in the first inning on an RBI single by Donny Treat and an RBI double by Gavin Heinemann. The three run lead was more than starting pitcher Chris Larsen would need.  Making a triumph return to the mound after missing the entire 2006 season, Larsen made only one mistake in the game and that was a solo home run off the bat of Zach Christy.  With the victory, Larsen now has a career record of 8-1 at EvCC and a 1-0 this season.  The Trojans would score three more times in the second inning and single runs in the third, fifth and ninth inning.  Larson, Hammons, Heinemann, Andrew Gniffke, Jeff Mugge, Daniel Ulrich and Alex O’Brien each had two hits in the game.  With Hammons, Ulrich and O’Brien’s two hits being doubles.  Freshman Jesse Nelson pitched the last two innings of the game and only allowed two hits.    Game 1 EvCC Box Score 1. Dominance was the word for this game.
The Trojan pitchers combined to hold Olympic College to only one hit; a hit that many observers felt should have been an error.  Offensively the Trojans exploded for 16 runs on 16 hits thus leading to the use of the word Dominance!  In his first collegiate start EB Crow showed why he was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 23rd round of the 2006 draft.  He went a strong 5.0 innings to pick up the win.  Brad McGava and Nick Collison pitched the final two innings with Collison striking out the side.  The Trojans 14 run second inning makes a new school record.  In that inning alone, EvCC batted through the lineup twice, had 9 hits, 5 walks and one hit by pitch and had six players who scored twice.  Alex O’Brien had four RBI’s in the inning, three of which came on his first home run of the year.  Game 2 EvCC Box Score 1.
