This past Saturday the Bulldogs from Bellevue CC traveled to Everett to defend both their Men’s & Women’s teams 1st place spots in the Northern Region. Their women were 10-2 in league while their men were 11-0 in league going into the night.

Because of the Women’s Double Over Time game, the Men’s game started about 20 minutes late. The Men’s game was big match up because BCC was in first while EvCC was tied for 3rd. This game was a much slower paced game than what the Trojans have usually played this year. Up until about 13:30 left in the first half, the Trojans led the majority of the game. At that point, BCC came back and took over the lead, however 7 points was the most they led by and only were leading by 3 going into half time, 36-33. Usually the Trojans are a second half team…. meaning that they come out the second half and really play their game. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case Saturday night. The Trojans went ahead by 1 point in under a minute of the start of the second half. However that was the only time they lead the second half. The rest of the time they were just trying to stay up with the Bulldogs, with them leading by 10 points a couple of times until the end when they were ahead by 11. Bellevue won 75-64 keeping their 1st place spot with a 12-0 record and taking the Trojans to 11-10 overall and 6-5 in league. The Trojans are now in 4th place by themselves.
