In last nights last home game of the season, the Tritons from Edmonds CC made their way to the EvCC Sports Complex & Fitness Center. Before each game, the Sophomores asked their parents, grandparents, or special friend to come down to the endline. At that time, each announced those that they would like to thank for their support over the past two years and gave them some flowers. Sophomore Trixy Miller’s aunt made signs for each Soph and Trixy gave out Lei’s to each Soph and all Coaches (she’s from Hawaii!).

The Men were in a must win situation to stay in 4th place in the Northern Region. If they do not stay in 4th place they will not be able to attend the NWAACC Championship Tournament in Kennewick, WA, next week. It started out going back and forth until the Trojans decided that enough was enough and went all out, scoring 59 in the 1st half to the Tritons 36. It looked good coming into the 2nd half except that the Tritons came to play that half. However with some clutch shots and good defense, the Trojans were able to stay ahead of Edmonds winning the game 104-94, even with being outscored in the second half. This win and an unfortunate win by Skagit Valley created a 3-way tie for 4th place with Olympic College, us and Skagit Valley College. This means that Saturday is another must win situation for the Trojan Men. It also means that we must hope/pray that Skagit Valley and Olympic both lose their games so that we will be in sole possession of 4th and go the NWAACC Championship Tournament. If by chance things don’t work out that way, there could be a playoff game at Skagit on Monday and/or possibly a playoff game Tuesday at Olympic. Both of these scenarios are something that the Trojans do not want to happen! They would rather just win on Saturday at Whatcom and have both Skagit and Olympic lose. The win from last night takes the Trojans to 12-13 overall and 7-8 in league.
